Shopping galore is a must this holiday season. We all know that Filipinos has the longest celebration of Christmas and one of the most enjoyable yet tiring part is the shopping. And when it comes to affordable items there's a place to visit, Tutuban Center, the bargain hunter's paradise. As part of the ever growing and improvements of the shopping mall, it has unveiled new and exciting features to pump up our shopping experience.

It's been years that I visited Divisoria and Tutuban Center. My mother loves to go there when we were kids, especially during Christmas season. She always buy as new clothes and new shoes. I think it is a tradition in most of the Filipino families to have new clothes every Christmas and the place for great finds and affordable prices is at Tutuban Center.

Recently, Bloggers was given an opportunity to explore the new Tutuban Center, and I myself was amazed with the new look of this shopping center. Very clean and no bad odor, shoppers can really enjoy the new Tutuban Center now. The ironic part here is that previously my mother bought things for us and now I am buying things for my kids.

First stop is the Anding's Toys and Flowers, Inc. which offers so much more than its name. Everything from party favors, garden accessories and holiday decor is offered by the establishment. I bought some stuff like costume for Halloween party, toys for my kids and even Christmas balls for my Christmas tree.

Next stop is the RTW section, I bought sleepwear there. Too many choices in the RTW that I want to buy more stuff there. Finally, I bought sleepwear that is only P100.

Finally, tired of shopping galore at Tutuban Center, and need some break. Shoppers can enjoy the spacious food court that offers refreshing drinks and snacks from several food carts. I really enjoyed the food as well.

Tutuban Center welcomes shoppers as early as 9:00am every day. Visitors will appreciate the enchanced pedestrian and vehicular circulation across the development. An additional 150 parking slots has been built into its CM Recto Avenue paid parking area.

I personally want to visit again the Tutuban Center with my mother to buy some stuff for Christmas Season. It will be a bonding moment with her.

Rice Mixture: 1½ tbsps vegetable oil ¼ cup garlic, peeled, minced ¼ cup onions, peeled, minced ½ cup ground pork ½ cup frozen carrots ¼ tsp ground black pepper 2 cups cooked rice, short grain 1 teaspoon soy sauce 1 teaspoon AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning Egg Mixture: 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 3 pieces eggs, small, beaten 1/8 teaspoon pulverized black pepper 1/2 teaspoon AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning 1/8 teaspoon iodized salt

PROCEDURE:

Rice Mixture 1.Heat oil in a pan, sauté garlic and onions for one (1) minute over low heat. 2.Add ground pork and cook until brown. 3.Add carrots and black pepper. 4.Add rice and stir-fry for another minute over medium heat. 5.Add soy sauce, mix well. 6.Sprinkle AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning and mix well. 7.Remove from fire, mound the rice on plate then set aside. Egg Mixture 1.In a bowl, beat the eggs until the whites and yolks are well combined. 2.Add pulverized black pepper. 3.Sprinkle AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning, mix well. 4.Heat oil in a pan and fry the egg mixture. 5.Remove fried eggs out of the pan and mold it well on top of the rice. 6.Serve with catsup.

Makes 2-4 servings

ADOBONG PUTI

INGREDIENTS: ½ kilo chicken, adobo cut ½ cup vinegar 1/3 cup garlic, peeled, crushed 1 piece bayleaf, crushed ¼ teaspoon peppercorn, cracked ½ cup water ½ cup cooking oil for deep frying 1 teaspoon AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning 1 tablespoon refined sugar 1 teaspoon iodized salt

PROCEDURE: 1. Combine chicken, vinegar, garlic, bayleaf, peppercorn and water in a pot. 2. Let boil and lower heat. Simmer until tender. 3. Drain the chicken pieces from the broth. 4. Heat oil in another pan and deep fry chicken pieces. Return to the broth. 5 .Simmer until liquid has been reduced to half. 6. Sprinkle AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami seasoning and sugar. Simmer for one (1) minute. 7. Add salt and mix well. 8. Serve hot.

NILAGANG BAKA

INGREDIENTS: 2 ½ liters water 1 teaspoon black peppercorns 2 pieces onion, medium-size, chopped ½ kilo beef shank, cut into serving pieces 2 pieces corn, cut into five per piece of corn 2 pieces potatoes, medium-sized, peeled, quartered ½ piece small cabbage, quartered 1 ½ teaspoons AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning 1 tablespoon iodized salt

PROCEDURE: 1.In a casserole, put 2½ liters of water; add peppercorns, onions and beef. 2.Boil beef until tender. 3.Add corn and potatoes; boil for 2-3 minutes. 4.Add cabbage, mix well. 5.Sprinkle AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning and simmer for 30 minutes. 6.Add salt and mix well. 7.Serve hot.

Nuvali announced that it will be offering bike clinics for both beginners and intermediate riders at the "Camp N Incubator and Bike Hub" in partnership with Specialized Philippines which started last October 29. Camp N will also offer bike tours around the 2,290 hectare Nuvali landscape which will go through the bird sanctuary trails and dirt roads. Nuvali is an Ayala Land sustainable estate that sits in the cities of Sta. Rosa, Calamba and Cabuyao in Laguna and features a diverse mix of residential and commercial developments.

As a premier incubator hub and team-building space, Camp N features thrill-based and skill-based facilities designed to tests one's physical limits, mental abilities, character, and values. Through its partnership with Specialized Philippines, a 3.4-kilometer winding trails was built within this 6 hectare facility. The trail is filled with dips, bridges, and obstacles that are designed to test and train bikers' abilities. A year after her second concert titled Majasty at Mall of Asia Arena, Maja Salvador is returning to the stage anew for a more intimate show titled Only Maja at the Music Museum on November 12.

The Dance Princess would be bringing together a bit of her performances from Majasty to the concert, but this time, Maja would take on a number of solo dance numbers.

Apart from that, Only Maja would have the reliable actress focusing on her singing skills. Her concert's exciting repertoire would include songs from her two well-received albums "Believe" and "Maja In Love" along with her recently launched single "Haplos."

Maja for her part, couldn't be any happier that she is staging another concert and that another producer has expressed trust in her performance of the songs and performances.

Maja's close friends Rayver Cruz and Enchong Dee are among the guests on her show. Bur those who would come to the show can also expect some surprise guests.

With less than a month to go before the “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano: Isang Pasasalamat’s” first tour stop in the Middle East and just as tickets have been released, the show’s stars are already gearing up for The Filipino Channel’s (TFC) major event on December 2 and 3 in Al Khobar and Dubai.

Kicking off ABS-CBN Middle East’s 20th anniversary and part of ABS-CBN’s 2016 Christmas theme “Isang Pamilya Tayo,” the event brings together key members of the cast of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” led by King of Primetime Coco Martin along with “ASAP” Soul Sessions’ Daryl Ong, to celebrate with Filipinos overseas as one family.

“Ang Probinsyano: Isang Pamilya Tayo” may be Martin’s second time in the Middle East but this early, he is looking forward for the chance to see his kabayans in the Middle East again. “Bago ako naging artista, nabuhay ko ang pamilya ko sa pagsisikap ko sa abroad. Kaya naman malapit sa akin ang mga overseas Filipinos. – naiintindihan ko ang kanilang pinagdadaanan.” Martin adds, “Kahit pumunta na ako rito noon para sa ‘Walang Hanggan,’excited akong makasama silang muli para sa “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano: Isang Pamilya Tayo.”

While “The Voice” finalist Daryl Ong may be a regular in TFC events, he looks forward to his first Middle East event. “At TFC, we are always expected to deliver world-class performances wherever we perform. Pressman admits this too is her first TFC event in the region as well and she us excited. “Like my co-stars. I am also looking forward to my first time there. On the other hand, I live with two cultures, having been born in Hong Kong with my British dad and Filipina mom. So being with my kababayans overseas also feels like home.”

All is not complete without the teleserye’s indomitable Onyok, who on the other hand, has already performed for TFC via “ASAP Live in New York.” Dropping his famous line, Onyok shares his excitement: “Ayos! Sobra po akong masaya. Makakasama kong muli sina Kuya Coco, makakapasyal pa ako.”

The Dubai leg of “Ang Probinsyano: Isang Pamilya Tayo” happens on December 3 at the Al Nasr Leisureland in Dubai, UAE.

Meantime, joining them for an afternoon of motivational talk is multi-awarded host (Golden Dove Award and CMMA Hall of Fame award) of DZMM Radyo Negosyo,” Carl Balita. The Maniwala Sa Magic Ng Pasko Christmas campaign comes at the heels of GMA's animated anthology series Alamat's win of the country's first "Best of Festival" Award at the US International Film and Video Festival (USIFVF), a recognition given to an outstanding entry among Gold Camera awardees in the USIFVF.

GMA Network already did something Magical this coming Christmas with their campaign. It will touch your heart and give you hope and inspiration that no matter how hard life is and with so many struggles coming our way, we should never lose faith and continue believing and this should start as a child, the kids around us should never falter in wishing for the best even if it's not Christmas. Through the eyes of a child, every thing is possible.

Timothy Mark Pimentel Eigenmann in real life, Sid is a multi-award winning actor most recently known for his gripping performance in the internationally acclaimed film Norte: The End of History. His work has been recognized both locally and abroad. Sid’s acting career started with GMA Network’s Hanggang Kailan (Until When). He then landed the lead role in ABS- CBN’s Filipino fantasy series Krystala. He has since worked with both network giants— playing memorable roles like Alfred “Red” Ramirez in hit drama series Dahil May Isang Ikaw (Because of You). Sid comes from a family of notable actors in Philippine show business. His screen name is taken from his father Mark Gil’s iconic character in the Filipino classic Batch ’81. Sid is of German–American descent. Most recently, Sid won the Best Actor Award for his role in Toto at the LA Comedy Festival.

In the movie TOTO, ANTONIO “TOTO” ESTARES comes from Tacloban, Philippines, a place ravaged by Typhoon Yolanda. His mother has cancer. He works at a hotel in Manila, and tries every which way to get to the U.S. so he can support his family – which he has been doing since his father died and left them penniless. His father had made it to Las Vegas to become a stage act and promised to petition his family, but he ended up a dishwasher who drank and gambled away everything. The only thing Toto inherited from his father is the obsession of the dream, which he has forged into his own, and is intent on fulfilling it, because it was also once his mother’s hope.

Toto makes one failed attempt after another to get a U.S. visa, risking friendships, his job, a lot of borrowed money, his dignity, and his heart. What he does not realize is that, in a way, he has already made it to America. The hotel is America. Its U.S. guests represent the good, the bad, and the ugly of America. After Toto meets the bad and gets ripped off, he loses hope. Yet it is a good American that helps Toto, in a most unexpected way.

TOTO is all about the power of the dream. Although the failures of his father haunt him, it’s the power of his father’s dream that fuels him, not just for himself, but for those he loves, to help better their lives and achieve their own dreams. Some call it the American Dream, but for those beyond the U.S. it’s simply “the dream”. After all, there is a TOTO that resides in all of us.

According to Sid, the lesson of the story is "That there is no shorcut, if you do, act on it, just do it, and if you failed, do it again, over and over again. Do it the right way, or nothing will happen."

The indie comedy “Toto” and its lead star, Sid Lucero, won at the 19th Los Angeles Comedy Festival and this is John Paul Su’s directorial debut, about a hotel room attendant who takes desperate measures to obtain a U.S. visa, was named Best Foreign Film, while Sid Lucero was proclaimed Best Actor in the festival’s film competition.

The Los Angeles Comedy Festival is the largest comedy festival in the United States that features not just films but also live comedy acts, TV pilots. music videos and a screenplay competition.

Direk JP Su, talks about the movie Toto, "As an immigrant myself, I am deeply attracted to Toto’s story for the way it speaks to the tension between integrity and compromise in the journeys of all outsiders. In moments of self-doubt, do you give up or do you soldier forward in pursuit of the dream? This is a question that, as a filmmaker in a new land where I was a complete unknown, I was constantly forced to ask myself."

Despite (or perhaps because of) the huge divide between rich and poor in the Philippines, “dreaming big” is an integral part of the cultural DNA, and 'TOTO' is, on one hand, a satire of the veneration of wealth and celebrity in a society where opportunity and resources are still scarce.

But it is also an allegory of the immigrant experience in general, seizing upon the luxury hotel where Toto works— with its glamorous classic Hollywood facade — as a symbol of the American Dream, and the sordid infrastructure as a persistent reminder, to Toto and to us, of the often treacherous underworld upon which that facade depends on.

So this Christmas season, SM Southmall starts their Christmas with a launch of their center piece and short play about giving which entitled" the Tale of the Winter Forest". A white cold winter forest with the wild, tough, tall and brave reindeer makes SM Southmall's Christmas piece majestically beautiful. Since blue is our favorite, hubby and I loved the look and the effect it brings to the eyes.

This Christmas witness the magical tale of the joy of giving as SM Southmall, premier mall of the South metro, presents The Tale of the Winter Forest. The launch features the unveiling of the mall's first Christmas centerpiece with a play production by Stages and a full
performance of the Manila String Machine.

The Tale of the Winter Forest tells a story of two children getting lost in an enchanted forest, where the only way to find the right path is to give up everything. In the forest, they meet a wounded rabbit, a lost cardinal, and a hungry tiger. The children helped the animals, giving up their clothing and food for them. In return, the Winter Fairy appears and shows them the path home.

Enteng’s nemesis is Kwak-kwak (played by Epi Quizon), a power-obsessed villain who was booted out from Engkantasya. He has the capability to control minds who has launched a virtual reality game that transmits his mind control to anyone who plays it. The villainous plot is helped along by Bibi, Kwak-kwak’s devoted second-in-command and Bibe, his moronic but useful sibling, along with A1/ALLAN & A2/ALLAINE, the two creators of the viral game app which Kwak-Kwak uses as a channel to spread his psychic powers to control humankind.

To defeat Kwak-kwak and restore order in the real world, Enteng calls upon a team of misfits, who form his Abangers team. They are individuals who have unusual special powers and have been waiting for a long time to put these powers into good use. The Abangers are actually OEWs (overseas engkantasya workers), whose powers Kwak-kwak needs to harness in order to fulfill his nefarious mission.

On his team, Enteng has three inimitable sisters: Nidora (Wally Bayola), a fierce but values-centric granny who possesses an equally fierce loud voice called "The Incredible Voice"; Tinidora (Jose Manalo), who has very quick reflexes and engaging dance moves called "The Flash Dance", and Tidora (Paolo Ballesteros), a flirtatious hot granny who channels her hot flashes to other persons through her stare. They are joined by Remy or “The Mister Iron", a tour guide and family guy who can seemingly flatten any tangible materials, Oring, a spunky female fortune teller in Quiapo who can perfectly predict anyone’s future but only for a span of two minutes, Lucas, a muscled handsome guy from Tondo who possesses incredible strength and a high pitched voice, and Bistika, a standup gay comedian who can perfectly blend himself with his surroundings -- while doing some pakganern splits!

Holiday season is fast approaching, it is the time for us Mommies again to capture the over flowing happiness with our loved ones. I will definitely put all those memories on my Fujifilm Photo Diary. Watch out for that. Mommies, try it also and you and your family will love it as I do.

I was able to experience visiting their set and during that visit we got a chance to interview some of the leading characters in Oh My Mama. Inah De Belen, one of the stars, is very grateful of the project because it is her very first teleserye. She did her best to portray her first lead mother role, a very challenging role for her yet a very memorable one according to Inah.

Inah also shared that Jake is very professional and he makes sure that she is comfortable in doing their scenes. She really enjoyed working with him.

On the other hand, Jake shared that he really enjoyed working with Inah. According to him Inah is a very hardworking actress and very easy to be with. Jake said that his role here is very challenging, this is not his typical role on his previous teleseryes.

Jeric Gonzales who completes the love triangle in Oh My Mama, is very grateful for being part of this teleserye. He really enjoyed having a scene with some of the veteran and best actors in the industry, like Epi Quizon. He shared that he learned so many things from them. He added also that both Inah and Jake are very nice to work with.

Analyn Baro shared that her role as a bad girl is very challenging. Her realization in doing this teleserye is that she can try more roles in the future.

Phytos said that every role given to him are very challenging that he needs to give he very best in portray his character in this teleserye.

Eunice is very good in acting, because according to her whatever role that she accepts she treats it as a challenging one.

Joining them are versatile actors Gladys Reyes as Inday Bartolome, Ryan Eigenmann as Efren Ynares, Epi Quizon as Gordon Reyes, Yul Servo as Robert Reyes, Francine Prieto as Patricia Ynares, Arthur Solinap as Rick Rosales, Ash Ortega as Ariana Gutierrez and Jenny Miller as Sabrina Cruz. Adding star power to this series is the special participation of seasoned actress Sheryl Cruz as Julia Domingo.

The five kids who became Inah's children in the series are Therese Malvar as Peewee; Jhiz Deocarez as Bayani; Bryce Eusebio as Bimbo; Sofia Pablo as Nicole and David Remo as Tito.

Eunice Lagusad as Sara Bartole; Phytos Ramirez as Justin and Analyn Baro as Milley are included in the teleserye. Chatting with these three actors are very enlightenment, they are very thankful of their roles and to be part of Oh My Mama.
